Kentucky Monuments-An Important Part of the State’s History

Kentucky became a state of the Union in 1792. Kentucky is not only a place of scenic beauty but also a place of historical importance. • Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site- There were many places which claimed to be the birthplace of America's 16th president, but Hodgenville was declared to be the official birthplace by the federal government in 1910.
