Kentucky Attraction- Kentucky Derby Festival

Being the home to the country's best fried chicken, tobacco and whiskey, the picturesque scenario, along with the Kentucky Derby frequently referred to as "The Run for the Roses" Kentucky has turned out to be a popular tourist attraction.

Indeed the Kentucky Derby is regarded as one of the greatest Kentucky attractions. On the first Saturday of May every year, the Kentucky Derby festival is staged in Louisville which is a stakes race for the Triple Crown. The Derby exhibits certain traditions like awarding a garland of red roses to the Kentucky Derby winner, the serving of Mint Julep as the traditional beverage and Burqoo as the traditional stew of the race respectively, the display of elitism by the rich and the University of Louisville band playing the World famous song "My Old Kentucky Home", rendering a sense of grandeur to the whole event.

However, one can also place a Kentucky Derby Future Wager or Kentucky Oaks Future Wager and get early odds that could be much more attractive than race day odds. Indeed a vacation in Kentucky is an ideal one as the Kentucky visitors are sure to engage themselves in many interesting activities.
