Kentucky played an important part in the shaping of the United States. The Kentucky monuments tell the history of some of the state's most famous events and residents. The Kentucky tourists can spend a nice vacation in Kentucky visiting the monuments and other attractions.
• Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site- There were many places which claimed to be the birthplace of America's 16th president, but Hodgenville was declared to be the official birthplace by the federal government in 1910.
• Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial- This piece of art was designed in the form of a sundial and it pays homage to the Kentucky residents who had lost their lives and who went missing during the Vietnam War.
• Civil War monuments- There are numerous monuments in Kentucky which immortalize various heroes, leaders, troops and battles.

Tourist Attractions of The Bluegrass State

Kentucky is a beautiful state in the east central United States of America. It is also known as the bluegrass state due to the abundance of blue grass in various pastures and lawns throughout the state. Due to its varied environment and picturesque locations, Kentucky has become a favorite tourist destination.
There are a number of attractive tourism sights in Kentucky which are worth visiting. Some of the Kentucky tourist attractions are mentioned below:
• Mammoth Cave National Park: With more than 350 miles of explored passageways, Mammoth Cave National Park has the longest known cave system in the world.
• Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom: Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is a world-class thrill park and entertainment complex located in Louisville.
• Kentucky Center for the Arts: Located in Louisville, it is supposedly the largest center of performing arts and features a variety of artworks.
• Louisville Zoo: The Louisville Zoo is located on 73 acres in South Louisville and is home to 1,300 animals representing 371 species living in open, natural settings.

Cumberland Falls, One Of The Best Nature Sights

Kentucky nature sights such as the famous Cumberland Falls, are one of the main reasons individuals choose to take a trip or holiday to Kentucky. For those who don't enjoy the large range of museums found in Kentucky, nature sights can be pretty enjoyable.
At the Cumberland Falls, known as the 'Niagara of the South' you'll experience a beautiful view of waterfalls. The 60 feet an 125 foot wide waterfalls is an impressive sight to see. The Cumberland Falls also has a unique phenomenon which does not appear anywhere else in the western hemisphere. This is known as the 'Moonbow' which is only visible during a full moon.
The mist formed by the waterfalls creates a magical and relaxing atmosphere that will be a highlight for everyone's visit to Kentucky.

Kentucky's Buried Treasure

Legends say the cave was discovered when, in about 1799, a settler tracked a wounded bear down this hole. This magic of Mammoth lies in the imagination in the limestone passages under west-central Kentucky, about 85 miles south of Louisville. Here mostly beneath Mammoth cave National Park's 52,370 acres, are more than 300 miles of mapped cave and no one knows how much more there is to Mammoth.
The caves owes with massive chambers, crystalline lakes and striking rock formations. Two levels of recreation and adventure greet outdoor enthusiasts at Mammoth Cave National Park trails lace the park's 52370 acres, enticing hikers, campers and picnickers to this densely wooded locale.
But beneath this, serene forest setting nature takes dramatic turn in the 300 miles of sinuous, wildly beautiful passages that make up the Mammoth cave system.
